Who should have access to the whistleblower portal?
The portal should be made available to all employees of the company
Additionally, the portal can be made available to partners, shareholders, board members, etc.
What requirements are there for the company?
A whistleblower unit must be designated for receiving and processing reports – this can be a single person or a department
The unit must be impartial and able to handle reports objectively and factually
The whistleblower unit must operate independently of the workplace's daily management and cannot consist of members of the executive team
General guidelines for the whistleblower unit's case handling must be established
What requirements are there for the whistleblower unit?
Receive reports and maintain contact with the whistleblower
Confirm receipt of reports within seven days
Follow up on reports diligently
Provide feedback to the whistleblower as soon as possible - and within a maximum of 3 months from the confirmation of receipt
